Uganda’s General Kainerugaba Threatened Turkey! Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba — who also happens to be the son of President Yoweri Museveni and the country’s unofficial “Next Big Thing” — has once again taken to X (formerly Twitter) to enlighten the world. .

His latest declaration? “The real problem is Turkey! We waited for them to fix themselves, but wapi! (Swahili for ‘no way’).

If they don’t solve our problems, we will cut ALL diplomatic relations with Turkey in the next 30 days.”And just to make sure Ankara gets the message, he added the bill: Uganda wants at least $1 billion from Turkey before any talks can even begin.

Oh, and as a little personal bonus on top of that billion… “the most beautiful woman in that country for a wife.

”Yes, you read that correctly. The general isn’t just demanding cash — he’s also putting in a very specific international marriage request.

Romantic, isn’t it? Now, one has to wonder: On what mighty power is this brave general basing his thunderous threats?

  • Military strength? Uganda has around 45,000 troops. Muhoozi previously claimed his forces could take Tehran in two weeks.
  • Presumably that plan includes excellent Google Maps, a very motivated driver, and a couple of strong logistics guys.
  • Economic leverage? Uganda benefits from Turkish construction projects, trade, and joint operations in Somalia.
  • Apparently, fighting Al-Shabaab together means Turkey now owes them a billion dollars. Nice business model.
  • Diplomatic genius? His strategy is flawless: “Close your embassy, we’ll close ours too — no problem!” This is roughly the level of international relations taught in kindergarten: “If you don’t play with me, I won’t play with you either!”
  • Geopolitical backing? He’s been extremely vocal about sending 100,000 Ugandan soldiers to defend Israel. Whether those 100,000 soldiers exist on paper, in his imagination, or on social media likes remains unclear.

He offered 100 cows to marry Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni

Let’s be honest — this isn’t the first time General Muhoozi has blessed the internet with his thoughts. He has previously threatened to invade Kenya, offered 100 cows to marry Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and claimed he could defeat Iran’s army in a fortnight.

His X account is basically a never-ending comedy show.In reality, this outburst seems to stem from Turkey’s growing military and economic footprint in Somalia (especially the big Turkish base in Mogadishu and drone support), which apparently makes Uganda feel less like the big brother in the region. Add in some pro-Israel positioning and a desire to look tough ahead of domestic politics, and voilà — instant Twitter diplomacy.

Ankara, for its part, has remained remarkably calm so far. One can almost picture Turkish officials sipping tea and muttering, “The boy tweeted again…”

Bottom line: General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has officially become Africa’s most entertaining foreign policy commentator. His tweets provide endless memes, but very little actual strategy.

Threatening to break relations in 30 days while demanding a billion dollars and a beauty queen wife is not exactly textbook diplomacy.

At this rate, the only thing Muhoozi might successfully “cut” in 30 days is his own credibility.
Stay tuned, world. The keyboard general is just getting started.
